This is another custom that they believe in. To them it is a sign of friendship and share what you have with each other. They clothe their children with colorful beads and the parents wear them as well. The clothes are made of different animal skin. Their family life consists of extended families too. It would be one immediate family and many siblings with their families as well. Sometime it is unmarried siblings as well in the household. According to (De Sousa, 2010),” Emergent bilingual Zulu-English speaking children in South Africa have spoken but no written proficiency in Zulu, yet are required to learn to spell English via English only literacy instruction.” This is also true of the Mexicans according to (Dowling, 2012) in which their “findings reveal the high importance that Spanish speakers, as well as many non-U.S. citizen Mexican immigrants, place on English proficiency.” This says to me that both cultures are in belief of the American dream in which many people from other countries want to come to America. This is a goal for both cultures and the families. Both Cultures work hard to educate their children to come to America. The goal ids for one person to make it to America and then to work and send back money to the rest in hopes of another being able to make it and then the cycle
