There was a severe outbreak of the Zika virus in Brazil infecting more than 1 million people and it gradually increases to infect individuals in the Western Hemisphere as it rapidly spreads. World Health Organization claims that between January 2014 and February 2016, a total of 33 countries have reported autochthonous circulation of Zika virus (World Health Organization, 2016). The Zika virus is not as deadly in comparison to viruses like Ebola, on the other hand, it does have deleterious effects on individuals.
