I have been convinced by Sandee Lamotte that postponing pregnancy is the best choice you can make. She states, “You should carefully use safe sex measure for a full six months after you return” (Lamotte). Her argument is that there is no other better way to secure yourself from the virus postponing pregnancy is the best choice because you are not risking your life of getting infected by the virus. Postponing pregnancy is like saving a baby's life because you are making a good decision and not getting pregnant when you are in a country that Zika is circulating also this will prevent from having a baby that can have down syndrome. This has persuade me to think that postponing pregnancy will avoid fatalities and also avoid birth defects. Furthermore evidence is she says that the only way you can transmit the Zika virus is through sexual intercourse that’s why it is really important to postpone pregnancy for another day . Sandee Lamotte has really convinced me that if you don’t postpone pregnancy while being in an area where Zika is present you will face serious consequences that you will have to face the rest of your life because there no vaccine to treat the Zika
