Reflection Towards Zero Campaign is one of the project that prepared by communication studies third year students. As general, it was effective campaign whereby it able increases the society stigma awareness towards HIV/ AIDS. It was the campaign that involving the UNIMAS insiders and outsiders. For instances, in our first event (Run towards Zero) there were around 500 participants. Yet majority of them were virtual runners whose are including West Malaysian and Sabah citizens. The “Towards Zero Run” had effectively raised the awareness of the public by joining the charity run. Yet, throughout the charity runs we able to collect about RM 5,000 to the Sarawak AIDS Concern Society (SACS) as donation purpose. The charity run can be considered …show more content…
For sure there might be some quarrel ensue within the group. But then, we had success this whole campaign. Yet, we had learnt some experiences and knowledge. Essentially, the main lessons that we acquire throughout this campaign would be communication. Communication between committee members was very vital. The committee had to keep in touch with each other to update the progression. For sure, it is impossible to have no conflict happens. Nevertheless, how to solve the conflict would be the major tasks that we need to handle. We more desire to use voting method in handle those challenges. For instance, before the mid semester break our group were facing the problem that we were lacking of participants for the Run towards Zero. Yet there are recommendations that we create cheaper prices package for others participants. However, majority of us confused to do so. This is because if we had made a cheaper price package it would be definitely not fair to other participants that already …show more content…
For sure, an effective planning will be involved with discussion, meeting and so on. Before the events, there were lots of meeting and discussions in deciding choosing of event; choose of venue, budget, weather, and size of audiences. It is to ensure that we can success the whole campaign. For example, the venue of the each event need to be considered with the number of participants involved. Besides that, a contingency plan had been done to prepare for the emergency. A contingency plan is a must for decision as there were lots of unpredictable situation. For sure management would be other lessons that we learn throughout this whole campaign. Yet management task mainly were refers to the leader. However, majority of us are final year students there are quite a numbers of assignment and task that need to deal with. But then, this becomes our major lesson to learn how to manage our time with campaign and assignment. Time management was not something rare to us. Thus as an independent students, we should know how to handle those task nicely. This would not only refer to our event, it too will be useful for our future
