After Obtaining my scuba diving license, I begged my parents to take me to Australia so I could fulfill my dream, which seemed impossible, until suddenly my dream came true. I got to opportunity of a lifetime to travel to Australia with a group of 12 kids, all older than me, that I had never met. I knew I had to go.

We waited until it got dark then the crew started to attract the sharks, we would be diving near, since that is the time sharks are most active. The instructors called us over to the water’s edge to observe what was happening. The water appeared calm, until they shined a huge spotlight onto the water; I could not believe what I had been missing. Silently swimming right by us were what looked like hundreds of sharks. It was mesmerizing and terrifying. I felt a tap on my back, and jumped, as the diving instructor looked at me questioning, “Well, what are you waiting for? Aren't you coming?” In the single most courageous moment of my life so far, without hesitation, I answered, “Yes!”
I pulled on my wet suit, which was still freezing from the previous dive that day, grabbed my vest, with an air tank and regulator, strapped on goggles and headed to the edge of the boat. The dive instructor handed me a flashlight, and with a big smile on his face said, “Lets go!” He jumped in. Before I could really get my brain around what I was doing, I put the regulator in my mouth and jumped into the dark, shark infested
