Finally, the kill and ps commands will also be used to view and manage running processes on the server.
Pinging Google
The first step in the assignment was to open a shell prompt and attempt to ping google.com. I was able to open a shell prompt and complete this task with no issues. The assignment mentions that if SELINUX I would be unable to complete this task. Upon completion of this task, I verified the status of SELIINUX using the sestatus command. Even though the status showed enabled, I was still able to complete the task with no issues. wget and rpm commands
The next step in the assignment was to use the wget command from the shell prompt to download the nmap utility followed by using the rpm command to install the package on the test machine. I had no issues using the wget command to download the nmap installation. As seen from the screenshots, I was able to download the file to my computer and view it in the working directory using the ls -lrt

I actually preferred the layout of the top command to the ps command and would most likely use it far more

Throughout the entirety of this English 101 course, I have seen my skills as a writer grow. In the beginning of the school year, my writing fell short of my expectations, but as I continued to work and learn the principles of writing, I have written papers that I am proud to say are mine. Among the aspects of my writing I have improved, the best strives are seen within my my counter arguments and overall strength and coherency of my papers. When attempting to argue my evidence, I stated,…
