Groups of meerkats are called a mob or a gang. The usually come in 5-30 members.

Their belly absorbs heat and keeps them warm

Meerkats have bad farsite vision, but their eyes are like built in sunglasses to block out the sun’s strong rays.

They can recognize about 10 calls and can tell if the call is a prey or predator
