There are several theories on how the greek language was there, since it’s unknown on how the language got there. Just like in modern times there was dialects, some of the major dialects include Ionic, Doric and Aeolic. The education in Ancient Greece was based on which city-states they went to school in and the gender, girls were not allowed to join school. In every city-state taught students about literature, music, art, science, and politics. In Athens boys were taught at home until they were about six years old. Afterwards, boys went to school, where they learned to read and write. They were also expected to learn musical instrument. After high school, boys were forced to go to military school, which is where they learned to fight and become a soldier. The Greek Calendar is one of the most confusing calendars. The months were Hekatombaion, Metageitnion, Boidromion, Pyanopsion, Maimakterion, Poseidon, Gamelion, Anthesterion, Elaphebolion, Mounikhion, Thargelion, Skirophorion.
