In today’s society wound care should always stay on a nurse’s or healthcare providers list of concerns when it comes to patient care. We as nurses play a very important role in proper patient care. Nurses that work in different clinical setting have different ways of wound care management. Wound, treatment and outcome is influenced by the nurse’s knowledge and the practice of wound care. In the study “Significant differences in nurse’s knowledge of basic wound management: Implication for treatment” they found that the hospital nurses had less theoretical knowledge then home health care nurses.
