The essence of a worldview lies within ourselves. A worldview involves the mind, but it is first a commitment, a matter of the soul. It is a spiritual orientation more than it is a matter of mind alone.
It reminds me of my notions of wisdom, emotion, and intellect. A worldview, therefore, is situated in our minds, as it is from this within our hearts that all our thoughts and actions proceed. It is my belief to tell the story as it is without adding spice or exaggerating it.
When I reflect on where I and the whole of humans have come from or where my life or humanity itself is headed, my worldview is being expressed as a story.
There is, of course, a way things are, but we are often mistaken about the way things are. In other words, the reality is not endlessly plastic. We think what we may a person’s core values stay the same and does what we perceive to be right whether others disagree or believe it to be true or not. Even with many years of schooling, our thinking remains the same, although it may change slightly for the betterment, do we become better humans? It is rather what we show them to be by our words and actions. Our worldview generally lies so deeply embedded in our subconscious that unless we have reflected long and hard, we are unaware of what they are. Even when think we know what it is and lay it out clearly in neat propositions and clear stories, we may well be wrong. Our very actions may belie our self-knowledge.
