This impacts my view of God being a powerful God. Since I believe that God made the earth in 6 literal days, it shows that God has the power to make what he wanted to make, in a short amount of time. God also made humans in his image, meaning that we can have certain characteristics that God has, but yet we have some that aren’t achievable. In Genesis God said, “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them” (Gen.1:27, NIV). Since God created man in his image we have certain characteristics that other creatures don’t. Man was made in God's image, which came with a big responsibility. Man was put in charge over all the other animals. It is man’s job to take care of the earth and protect God’s creation. Later in Genesis God said, “And no shrub of the field had yet appeared on the earth and no plant of the field had yet sprung up, for the Lord God had not sent rain on earth and there was no man to work the ground” ( Gen. 2:5). This passage proves that God made man to take care of the land. Since somethings didn’t grow without man, once man came on the earth it was his job to take care of them. -Nicholas
