The journal regarding workplace violence reported that over 2 million American workers are victims of workplace violence each year (Papa, Venella, 2013). Workplace violence is any physical assault, threatening behavior, or verbal abuse (Sullivan, 2013). The most workplace violence I’ve seen or witness has been verbal harassments like abusive or offensive language. People tend to over consider situations and tend to change attitudes easily. Also, things such as shouting, throwing, pushing objects, or slamming doors are considered violence in field (Sullivan, 2013). Prevention programs should be given to employees on a regular basis.
