Workplace injuries and sicknesses affect people that are hurt or sick leading to or causing physical impairment, functional limitations, and loss of wages from missing work and limitation to the worker's ability to do their job appropriately. The job position of an employee is a major concern especially when dealing with manual labor. Some examples of manual labor that are major concerns are repetitive moving of components while lifting heavy loads, workers can suffer from back pain, musculoskeletal disorders, cardiovascular disease and so on. An example within my company would be starting a machine a repetitively stretching arm to reach parts. Some of the parts are hard to reach so we stretch beyond what we should, which cause issues with shoulders and backs. Companies that use a large amount of technology are going to be at a risk of new failures, because they are constantly trying new machines or running new parts. Continuously running new machines or parts can lead to accidents and unsafe work environments ("Workplace Safety," n.d.).
Decrease or Eliminate Safety Issues
When looking into decreasing or eliminating safety issues the company has to look at the main safety issues that are occurring. One of the main injuries reported within the company is falls. The best ways to decrease or eliminate

Employees want to work for a safe healthy company because it shows they value their people. Safety is important to the community, and employees operate more efficiently if safety and health is not a concern. The company will thrive and become more successful with this approach and it will show through increased production of higher quality parts, loyal employees, and people that want to return to work more quickly after a minor injury. The potential of taking steps towards better safety within the company could benefit the company for years to come ("Safety Pays for Everyone," 2013)
