Words To Describe Orco

Improved Essays
Being not overly handsome and looking slightly feminine, Orco is an otherwise average sight with long, strawberry-blonde or ginger colored hair, narrowed hazel orbs that glint strangely in the sun, and thin, curved nose that appears prominently across his features. His form is rather thin, with lean muscles knitting their way across his lanky bone structure. His skin, somewhat pale, is littered with a few scars that he attempts to hide from other's sight. He keeps his soft, ginger colored hair long, and occasionally tied back in a low ponytail that he can drape over his shoulders. His mouth is rather thin, with his teeth lightly yellowed from [admittedly] poor past

A Comparison of the Narrators of The Catcher in the Rye and “A & P” Both The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger and “A & P” by John Updike use careful choices of language and details that aid in the characterization of their narrators. Salinger’s narrator, Holden, is a seventeen year old boy who is telling presumably a therapist the events that occurred after he was expelled from Pencey Prep. He tells the story in a first person “stream of consciousness” style and often goes off on tangents about things, such as his younger sister Phoebe, giving the story a sense of verisimilitude. Holden is also very sarcastic and cynical, saying “[his] parents would have about two hemorrhages apiece if [he] told anything pretty personal about them” (Salinger, 1).…

Justice, in its most basic sense, is defined as the administering of a deserved punishment or reward, but justice itself is far from basic. Who is to decide what is just, and how are those who decide what is just to punish their perceived wrong? It is only through the pursuit of justice that an individual can come to clearly see what is right, and find his or her sought after reward or punishment. In Till we Have Faces by C.S. Lewis, Orual’s pursuit of justice and its eventual resolution play a significant role in the book and her development as a character, while showing us how she views justice itself. Throughout the novel, Orual’s idea of justice is rather self-centered, and largely motivated by anger.…

    I. Dario’s physical appearance As I stepped foot into Virgilios to conduct my interview with Dario, his dress attire caught my attention right away. Dario wore a pressed white long-sleeve shirt with a black long dress pants and black leather low shoes topping it off with a red Virgilios apron. By the way his clothes were well-ironed, creased, and clean showed me that he meant business along with his good posture. Dario was very mature and funny throughout this interview.…

Directed by F.W. Murnau, Nosferatu: a Symphony of Horror, and Sunrise: A song of two humans, are silent films from the 1920's. Throughout Sunrise, two young lovers rekindle their romance while Nosferatu is a horror adaptation of Bram Stoker’s, Dracula. While they differ in genre, both are similar in that they consist of a young couple who encounter a threatening situation. The element of space becomes an interesting aspect relevant to both films as it helps to foresee the events of what is to come from the plot. In Noseferatu, enclosed spaces evoke feelings of uneasiness and provide a sense of no escape.…

Vampires have changed over the years and the depictions of vampires through the years give us an idea about the anxieties of that time period, the way the people viewed the pressing issues of that time period. I am going to discuss the similarities and the differences between Bram stoker’s Dracula and the film Nosferatu. Dracula was portrayed as a tall old man with a white moustache who appeared to be a human and he had a charm about him normally associated with aristocrats whereas in the film Nosferatu, Count Orlok’s appearance is nightmarish and closer to that of a monster than of a human. He is shown to have misshapen eyebrows, huge pointed ears, long claws which are sharp for nails, walks around in an abnormal way and does not have any of the charm of Dracula. While Count Dracula has shape shifting abilities where he can transform into a wolf, dog and a bat, Count Orlok does not transform or change into anything.…
