This question was asked because Wojtek the Bear fought as a soldier during World War II while being an ordinary animal that could have been a pet. To begin, Wojtek the Bear was an important bear that influenced the world, both during World War II, and in later decades. First, Wojtek the Bear was a Polish soldier who elevated soldiers' morale during the Second World War. Second, Wojtek the Bear was a member of the Polish army when he was traded to the Polish in 1942, and he continued in the military until 1946 (Murtoff). However, he was not enlisted as a soldier until 1944, when he was stationed in Italy (Murtoff). Next, Wojtek was kept in the army because the soldiers had great admiration for him, and Wojtek brought them joy in a bleak time. Wojtek was moved to the rank of private (making him officially enlisted as a soldier) because pets were not allowed in the Allied Army, so he was promoted to a soldier as a loophole, allowing the Polish to keep him (Murtoff). The Polish forces were required to be stationed in the Allied Army in 1944 because Wojtek's division was relocated to Italy (Murtiff). In summation, a historical figure who has impacted the globe during their life and profoundly affected the world thereafter was Wojtek the Bear. One way Wojtek impacted the microcosm was with his positive imprint on Polish individuals, that is, Wojtek brightened the days of the Polish soldiers during the grim time of World War II. Morale-boosting could have had a slight effect on the Polish outcome of the war (the Polish were one of the victors), with the soldiers more likely to give their all while fighting because they were amused and not reminded of their situation, which many would consider
