With the use of decision making, which is defined as “the attempt to merge individual premises into more general ones (shared realities) that most members of the group can accept,” individuals are able to come up with ideas that will benefit the business (Shockley- Zalabak, 2015, pg. 41). That being said, all members associated are typically on the same page, understanding the culture and nature of the job.

In this case, at the beginning of each month, there are meetings held where the decision on whether to increase the store’s goal or to lower it is determined. Afterward, everyone meets at a local restaurant to discuss their plans for the month and ideas. As an unwritten rule, each person has an individual goal that is arranged based on their own calculations.
