Some producers decide to lower the quality of wines so that they can raise a bigger variety of grapes allowed in Vino da Tavola. Prices of Chianti Classico can differ depending on the harvest year and the grape variety used. As an example a Chianti Classico from Casa Emma bottled in 2010 cost 20 euros while a 2007 Vigneto Bellavista, Chianti Classico, Castello di Ama cost 151 euros.
