Driving into the touristy town was always my favorite part, smelling the fudge, hearing the waves crash against the docks and seeing all the seagulls flying around. As you kept heading down the main road following it to all its curves and loops you would run into my Grandparents house. They lived in a large log cabin on a gated drive.

When we where there we got ice cream and swam, then headed back to Boyne City.
The sailing camp had a banquette at the end. It was at the state park. They had hamburgers and hot dogs with many sides available. They also provided many desserts for everyone to have. It was amazing and even better it was at the beach, so once we ate then we could go swimming with all the friends we made during the two weeks.
During the banquette Gram and his friends came up to us and shared a few things I would never have thought to hear from a ninth grader to a six grader. They said “ If I was told at the beginning of the two weeks I would hang out with a bunch of 12 year olds I wouldn’t have came. At first we just hung out with you guys because my brother told us we had too but then it turned out to be the best two weeks of our lives”. He showed us that age doesn’t matter when having fun and you can really be surprised if you give people a chance because I didn’t imagine myself hanging out with them either.
Looking back on those two weeks today and thinking if the positions where changed would I hang out with them? But because this event in my life I give people a chance before I rule them childish or
