Mark Twain, a prolific American author, once stated, “So far as anybody actually knows and can prove, Shakespeare of Stratford-Upon-Avon never wrote a play in his life. So far as anybody knows and can prove, he never wrote a letter to anybody in his life...” There's a controversy over whether Shakespeare was a actor, a poet, and a playwright or just an actor. Stratfordians believe that William Shakespeare was an actor, poet, and a playwright. Oxfordians believe that William Shakespeare was only a actor, not a poet, or a playwright. The research information suggests that William Shakespeare was not a poet, a playwright, but was an actor.

No original drafts of the plays exist…” If Shakespeare did write plays and poems there should be at least a few drafts of the poems or plays. In the mid 1500’s shakespeare name would have been spelled “Shaxper.” There is no evidence that Shakespeare wrote a single letter in his life.
