Why Was George Washington A Great Leader?

George Washington the first president of The United States, mainly known as that. Most people just assume Washington was born a great leader and yes he was but, we need to know what made him so great. A militia position and quick promotion found 21-year-old Washington fighting in the French and Indian War. He basically sent his men straight into a massacre and witnessed their death’s first hand, he made every mistake and felt the shame rise with in and realized that history has it’s eyes on him. Washington resigned from the militia in 1758. When the American Revolution broke out, Washington was known as a military leader and was named General and Commander of the Continental Army. During his presidency what I find so intriguing was that he didn’t make the decisions by himself, he assembled the first cabinet to help with the decisions of their young nation forming. During the French Revolution, the french often asked the U.S for help but, George Washington refused because he believed that if the U.S were to be involved it would put his people in danger. So what makes Washington a great leader? Well, against great odds, Washington led the American colonial forces to victory against the British during the American Revolution. He provided steady leadership and order for the Constitutional Convention. He balanced two opposing minds in his cabinet, Alexander Hamilton and Thomas Jefferson.
