Stress. Everyone has experienced this familiar feeling for many reasons, however students have always had a continuous amount of stress resulting from school. In fact, New York University states that “Nearly half (49%) of all students reported feeling a great deal of stress on a daily basis and 31 percent reported feeling somewhat stressed.” Testing or even school in general should not give so many students stress.
Many students do not sleep for days just so they can study as much as they can before a test. As a student, I have seen many of my sleep-deprived friends cry over not having a higher grade. Throughout my school population, many students do not even sleep the suggested hours of sleep which is 8 ½ hours.
Sleep deprivation and depression is a significant sign of stress, and many of friends feel like this. While schools concentrate towards tests many students are deceived to think that every test determines their futures. So, students become stressed because if they receive a bad grade they break down.
Stress is something that should be taken seriously because too much of it affects your mind and body in a negative
