When you get to be in high school you tend to fret over going to college. Some of you might not even go to college while some of you do. I think that all high school graduates should go to college because it opens up opportunities that one would never get to try if they just graduated high school and never go to college. On the other hand you’re paying hundreds of thousands of dollars to go to college and when you leave you might not even get a job in your major or even your minor. Whatever reason you choose not to go or to go there are some factors that will affect your final decision. What’s the first thing you think of when you hear the word college? You probably think money right? Well it is true that going to college isn’t cheap and requires you to actually get a job [yes you actually have to work], but the rewards are worth all that hard work. College requires determination, hard work, and most importantly it requires dedication. What’s the point in going to college only to quit half-way? Sounds crazy now right? But in a few years almost two-thirds of college students will drop out because of the pressure they feel. Many young adults drop out because of the work but what about the college itself? A job at McDonald’s probably, and are you really okay with that? Serving burgers and fries to people just to do it again the next day, and the day after that and so on and so forth. Maybe you’ll be doing well with that but wouldn’t you prefer a proper job that actually pays you well for your services? I know that I’d prefer that over McDonald’s any day!
