Being the first African American to play Major League baseball. Despite his skill, Robinson faced barrage of insults , and threats because of his race. Robinson made history in 1947 when he broke baseball’s color barrier to play for the Brooklyn Dodgers. Jackie Robinson was the best player on the Brooklyn Dodgers wearing the number 42. By all the arrogant things Robinson went through , he fought through it , and became the first African American to be the best. This shows that Jackie Robinson is strong. Reason why Robinson is strong is ,because all the racial barriers he went through during his career was difficult , but he stayed strong , and fought through it. Nothing fazed him. He focused on baseball , and baseball only. But the reason why he was strong was , because he was fighting through all the racial barriers , which he became a leader to let other African Americans know they can play ball to. …show more content…
Ruth changed the way baseball was played , Jackie Robinson changed the way Americans thought. Robinson showed why he was a leader along with Babe Ruth. But other baseball or African American players looked up to him for what he did , and went through. Jackie showed important things by proving to everybody that he can be a leader , and that all the racial things people were saying can’t stop you from what you want to be in life. While Jackie Robinson was an amazing role model and leader , heroes are not
