Why Is Chivalry Important

Chivalry is still needed today to function and keep order. Chivalry is needed because it has laws that should always be followed. In chivalry you are supposed to follow every law and rule to make your family and other families around you safe. The definition of chivalry on dictionary.com is the sum of the ideal qualification of a knight, including courtesy, generosity, valor, and dexterity in arms.
To begin with, traditions are very important in chivalry. A tradition that is very important in chivalry is religion because they based most of their life on it. There was only one religion, Christianity but in the form of Catholicism. Knights are born and raised in a strict environment with strict rules. Chivalry is unknown rules that went beyond the rules of fighting. Fighting is a mixture of military, christianity, and social ethnic mixed together. Some ways that we have chivalry is by being respectful and being brave. Today some jobs that you have to try and be brave with are when you are a firefighter or a police officer because you never know what you will be faced with when you get a call. The rules of chivalry help better our society because if we didn’t have chivalry and everyone did what they wanted then our country would be an anarchy which is the lack of obedience to an authority which means that you don’t have any laws to follow. Having rules makes our society better because with laws we have a certain extent of things that we are able to do. In today’s society it is very important to have chivalry because there about 2.3 million people that are behind bars as of 2016 because they have committed a crime and if we didn’t have these laws then we would have all of these men and women who are danger to our society to where they could do
