Occasionally terrible things happen, but it's not the fault of our country, only the individual(s) responsible. There are some bad people in the world, and that is such an unfortunate reality that I think some people let cloud their minds and soil places/groups/countries as a whole. What really makes America special to me, and why I have such a strong admiration for my country is our ability to deal with terrible situations. The way we come together as a nation is truly inspiring. Whether it's peaceful protests or marches, food drives, volunteering, or any sort of help, the people of America are truly some of the most giving and kindhearted people I have ever seen or met. Even in the midst of a crisis, you know you are never alone in America, as there are wonderful people everywhere that want to help as much as they can. Which to me is what our country is truly about, not trying to dismiss issues, but rather working through them as a united
