Gov, have contributed to my political ideology, interpretation of the American Dream, Political culture, and future participation in politics. To begin with, I will talk about how I interpret the American Dream. When I think of the American Dream, I think of the sixties’ view of the perfect family, with two kids and a nice house fenced in with white picket. I see the ability for anyone to move up the socioeconomic ladder, no matter who they are.…

Open and willing to listen to others and show a genuine care and concern is a rare find in high school today. It was enlightening to learn of Robert’s trip to Haiti where he has gained a broader outlook on the world and life. Robert also has an appreciation for all he possesses and determination to someday make a difference in the world. It is because of experiences such as the trip to Haiti and membership in Common Ground that have inspired Robert to go beyond the required. I admire not only the myriad of activities he is involved, but more the consistency and leadership positions he maintains.…

A People’s Politician Very few Americans will proudly say that they have had the dream of serving the American people in our nation’s government. For me, unlike anyone else, politics is not just my goal, but my dream. I have always lived my life knowing that no matter what the circumstance, someone doesn’t have all that they are entitled to in life. With that in mind, it drives me everyday to one day become a Politician who will become an advocate for the American people, a voice for freedom, and a philanthropist for humanity. Becoming an advocate for the millions of Americans in the lower classes of society who have felt the pain of poverty, the reality of racism, and the concern over their constitutional rights being stripped away amendment by amendment, would come with no easy responsibility.…
