Why I Want To Be A Veterinary Technician Essay

The career that I want to be is a Veterinary Technician and Technologist. To become a Veterinary Technician and Technologist, you have to have an Associate’s Degree, a high school diploma, or a GED. The college that I want to go to for being a veterinary technician and technologist is Auburn University. To become a veterinary technician and technologist, you will have to learn how to prepare for surgeries and assist veterinarians with the surgeries. In addition to that, you will also have to take care of the animal´s after the surgery, like giving the animal´s food and water, making sure the stitches are healing correctly. I want to go to Auburn because they are ranked number 14 as one of the best colleges to go to to be a veterinary.
I want to be a Veterinary Technician and Technologist because I would be able to work close with animals. Being able to work close with the animals would give me a chance of taking care of them after a surgery or when they are trying to recover from being sick. The first reason why I want to go to Auburn University because they have a great veterinary program. Going to Auburn to be a veterinary technician, I can graduate college within 2 years with an Associate's Degree and is accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association. Furthermore, to be a veterinary technologist, I can graduate college within 4 years with a Bachelor’s Degree and will be ready to go to assistant positions at any animal hospital, or similar settings. The second reason why I want to go to Auburn University is because of the surrounding community. As a result, the people in the city of Auburn would rate the city as a great place to live, work, and raise children.
