Everyday I’m suctioning! One day soon I’ll be wearing this slogan on my T-Shirt because one day soon this will be my truth. Dental Assistants are the backbone of the dentist office. Every day they make people feel pretty. They are saving the smiles of children, teenagers, young adults, and older adults all day. Dental assistants help the dental operator in providing safe, comfortable, and efficient dental treatment. They prepar the patient for treatment, sterilizing instruments and passing instruments during the procedure. Dental Assistants are trusted dental professionals, therefore, it is crucial that you identify the educational requirements, job responsibilities, job outlook and security and salary before entering this career field.
The educational requirements for a dental assistant is a high school diploma and state certification but mostly it’s on the job training.
