Why I Want To Attend Boston University

Boston University is in the heart of Boston, and that really explains it all. My passion about Boston can’t be described into words. I remembered once visiting Boston during Autumn, the view from Charles River was like a painting, somehow too beautiful to be realistic. Not only that Boston University is located in Boston, but the diversity, activities and campus itself truly attracts me in all ways. Boston grows faster than any area in the Northeast, and the tech, medical, and arts are poised to lead the world economy of the future and further on. I think I belong to BU, a place where

Hofstra has been one of the top schools on my list that I have wanted to apply to ever since I entered high school. I first found out about Hofstra when admission personnel visited my school. What stood out to me the most was how they took time out of their busy schedules in order to inform students on the school's goals and missions. This demonstrates to me that Hofstra values communication with students who attend the school. I believe that being active and engaged in education is one of the keys to success.…

Hi, everyone My nameGavin and I am a fourth year Sociology major Music Industry minor. My favorite city would have to be Boston, this being because I not only have family there, but have also had some amazing vacations to the city that really allowed me to experience it beyond just tourism. There are very many reasons for me to get excited about Notre Dame, but I will try to limit my examples to fit the word requirements. My desire to go to Notre Dame and the excitement that surrounds potentially going there started at a young age. Notre Dame is the only big time, Division I university that is not three hours or more from my house so naturally I grew up being a big fan of the college. I always loved it when my family would occasionally attend the basketball and football games which made me appreciate Notre Dame even more because I loved the atmosphere and the excitement of the games. Now that I am older, I have looked into other reasons that get me excited about attending Notre Dame.…

Like most things in life, the positive aspects are shown to provide interest. For BU, academics, student body, and the location were most emphasized. As great as they are, there are still qualities of the school that limit movement and interaction, just like the chains for the cave dwellers. For example, the campus limits students physically, socially, and mentally. The several hundred acre campus blocks students in from the rest of reality.…

As a high school senior, the question I am most used to hearing is, “where do you want to go to college,” and my habitual response is the Wharton Undergraduate School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. But I think that the more apt question is “why do you want to go to college?” Personally, I want to learn. The Wharton motto of “knowledge for action” embodies this desire to learn and use this knowledge to pursue a career in something that engages and interests me. I am an aspiring investment banker and international business executive and am intrigued by mergers and acquisitions, investment banking from an international perspective, and the effect of international events on the global economy and the ensuing effect on corporations.…

Located along the side of the Charles River, my visit to BU helped me imagine myself walking on campus and attending classes. With over 2,000 research laboratories, BU provides an endless amount of opportunities to engage with professors and students on innovative STEM research. When I was younger, I wanted to go to Harvard University. Being 10 years old, I wasn’t intrigued by the school’s reputation for offering accessible connections and substantial learning experiences for those admitted – I was drawn in by the way pop culture portrayed the students of this school: ambitious, determined, and driven to succeed. Since then I’ve definitely realized this is not the best option for me - but at the time; seeing zealous female roles such as Rory Gilmore and Elle Woods pursue this path made me believe that traveling to Boston was the best first step to take in order to showcase my intellect and become the best version of myself.…
