Why I Chose To Enroll In The Army ROTC

There are many reasons why I have decided to enroll in the Army ROTC program. The first reason is structure. By my freshman year I still did not have a clue what I wanted to do in life; however, once I started JROTC I began to get an idea of how the military actually works, and I liked it. A person is given authority based on the rank they have earned, and information is passed up and down the chain of command so that everyone is informed of what is happening and what needs to be changed. The second reason is all of the benefits such as medical insurance, housing allowances, and 30 day paid vacation. The third reason is that being a military officer earns a very generous salary that can be used to care for a family later on down the road. The
