Why I Chose Nursing

Anytime you ask someone “why nursing?” the common answer you would get is “because I love helping people.” But, personally I’m interested in pursuing a degree in nursing because the feeling of satisfaction you get when you help a person in need, the way it helped me become a different person, and seeing my mom struggle with not having a good career. Growing up I always said “I want to be a superhero one day” and now I’m getting my chance to be that person.
I never knew I wanted to be a nurse, but the day I started going to an Assisted Living Facility for my vocational school it changed my life. The first day I started going to Brandywine Assisted Living I was a nervous wreck, I didn’t want to talk to any resident. Also, that’s another thing

    In my perfect world people would live healthy lives; they would always pick the healthy option rather than the cheap more convenient one.
