“I am the Joker,” James Eagan Holmes was overheard muttering this phrase the night he went into a movie theatre and killed 12 people. It is fascinating how some people can rationalize their actions with such a simple phrase that, once had no meaning, but now haunt countless victims and members of Aurora, Colorado. This alone does not make an intriguing or interesting court trial. The people sitting on the jury for weeks on end need entertainment to just stay awake sometimes. After a long day at work most people like to go home and relax, pop a squat on the couch, and turn on the television. Often times, as we flip through the 800 plus channels, we find a crime drama.
