Politics is the study of government and everything associated with it. The good, the bad and the ugly. Politics is used to win elections and can manipulate people who do not pay close attention to what is being said (Roskin, 2013). Government is the people who are voted into office to make decisions on behalf of the country. Government is broken up to three branches in the United States. The judicial, legislative and executive branch. An important reason to follow politics is because the dishonesty and misuse of resources that end up hurting tax paying citizens the most. Whether it is the 1% getting more tax cuts, or it is a wall street bail out, all these things affects all of us.
