I am a young and adventurous, seventeen year old kid who thinks he knows everything, but in reality, is really just fooling himself, as he is others. With that said, I am also very naive, impulsive, impatient, but in some twisted paradoxical way, very caring. That has been my problem my whole life; I care too much. My dream in life is to help people from around the world, whether it be directly or indirectly, I need to be the change. One of the ways I have figured out how to make an impact in this ever-changing, globalized world of ours is to study International Relations/Affairs. But that is besides the point, the point is that although I may not be the perfect teenager (and I don’t strive to be) I am still worthy of this scholarship. I have gained many volunteer hours through my school, organizing socials, teaching piano, teaching a Kindergarten class my sophomore year, and working with the educational department at the Houston Zoo. I have proven to be a great leader and role model, having been elected as Vice President my junior year, while maintaining other roles such as managing editor for the school’s yearbook club and having an advice column in the school’s newspaper. I was blessed enough my freshmen year to have been able to participate in the annual Turkish Olympiad, which I was able to win first place, and go to Turkey, opening my eyes to the world and to the cultures far beyond
