Transgender people face discrimination just like any other group of people. Fairview Health Services denied a transgender woman in Minnesota service. She has filed a lawsuit against the hospital and is suing for "Trauma, humiliation, and duress." Nova Bradford, the plaintiff, stated that the hospital did not assist her with her chemical abuse problem by not allowing her admission to the “’Lodging Plus’ substance abuse treatment program...” Bradford was discriminated against because she is a transgender woman. Bradford’s lawyer, Gaulding, stated that it was an unfair judgment for Fairview Health Services to go about.
