Abstract: The reason of this report is to attempt to convince the reader that the Freedom Writers and their teacher Erin Gruwell have significant role in the book attempting to achieve equality and peace for not only for themselves but for everyone else including their most loved friends and family. In this novel the freedom writers present what it takes to make a change in our world and the lengths it takes for their voices to be heard.

She became famous for her diary were she would write her experiences of her daily life of living and hiding from the Nazis. She was caught by the Nazis and was sent to a concentration camp. Her diary was found and saved by her father and Miep Gies, later they were able to publish the diary which included what happened and her experiences during the war, were she lived, what her emotions were like, and what family relationships and personal relationships she had.
The same thing was happening with the L.A. Riots. They would not agree with the cultures that were coming in.
We must find the solutions to problems we don’t agree to, but that doesn’t include to violence. We are able to make decisions to problem and solve issues in ways that would benefit all of us.
Result: Erin Gruwell is the perfect teacher for these students, her enthusiasm and respect to the problem in her class was amazing. Instead of just slipping by and not doing anything she took action and took it into her own hands.
