She became famous for her diary were she would write her experiences of her daily life of living and hiding from the Nazis. She was caught by the Nazis and was sent to a concentration camp. Her diary was found and saved by her father and Miep Gies, later they were able to publish the diary which included what happened and her experiences during the war, were she lived, what her emotions were like, and what family relationships and personal relationships she had.
The same thing was happening with the L.A. Riots. They would not agree with the cultures that were coming in.
We must find the solutions to problems we don’t agree to, but that doesn’t include to violence. We are able to make decisions to problem and solve issues in ways that would benefit all of us.
Result: Erin Gruwell is the perfect teacher for these students, her enthusiasm and respect to the problem in her class was amazing. Instead of just slipping by and not doing anything she took action and took it into her own hands.
She wanted to compare pervious events and historic events to events that were still occurring in the students daily lives. She used book, movies, stories, and even field trips to try and engage and inspire the teens to make connections with others and rate to
