The way that the group sounded to me was that it felt like the sound was mostly harsh and piercing. At first it did sound smooth but around thirty seconds later the guitar went faster so it made the sound harsh. When all of the instruments are put together it all really sounded harsh with only like one spot where it was mellow. When it got in the middle and the end of the song, I really had to cover my ears because it got so loud to the point my speakers made the piercing sound. Sad part is that my speakers were on low since YouTube on my computer is always loud if the volume is over 40.…

Eric Whitacre is a contemporary choral composer who is known for his unique compositions that utilize harmonies as well as dissonance. The particular piece that I had a wonderful aesthetic experience with is Hope, Faith, Life, Love. This beautiful song has a total of eight words which are Hope, Faith, Life, Love, Dream, Joy, and Truth. These words are the first and last four words of a longer poem by E.E. Cummings. The beauty of this piece lays in three different places, E.E. Cummings poetry, Whitacre’s interpretation of the these words, and the performance of the choir which is influenced by the particular director.…
In the song the lyrics are written and read for the singers but the emotion behind the performers generates a real message and feeling for listeners. In Bohemian Rhapsody the genre is classified as rock and opera. Opera is known for creating great emotion in their works and is infamous for telling stories. The reason why Bohemian Rhapsody is in the opera category is because a piece of the song is recorded in the context of an opera but the entire song is sung like it’s telling a story for Freddie Mercury. The band knows the extent of the song and owes Freddie the respect of singing it with purpose but the way it is delivered creates a beauty above the loud clashing and clanging of rock.…

Tech and Amendment Essay The first amendment states that art is protected by freedom of speech. I do believe that everyone should have their right to have freedom of speech, but when it comes down to a song written about a confessed crime, I think the police should investigate more into the case rather than to hear the song and charge them. Some people express their feelings a little differently than others, sometimes in a way that seems violent or alarming… But just because they write a song using violent language, they shouldn’t have to do the time for how they feel.…
Musical Lyrics and Our Behavior The career field I am interested in working in is music production. More specifically, I would like to come alongside talented Christian artists to help them produce high quality electronic indie music. There is not a wide variety of quality Christian music. Because of this, people tend to listen to secular music instead, because it often sounds better and has higher quality production value.…

All art forms are important to a culture because the music, the sculptures, the paintings, etc., all help form and differentiate each culture from another. Therefore, I disagree with the statement that visual artists are more important to a culture than performing artists because they create permanent work of art because both works of art can cause people to reflect on their lives, can bring enjoyment, and both can allow people to experience and interpret the art in their own way. It shouldn’t matter whether or not something is permanent because it still affects a culture. In the first place, visual and performing arts caused people to reflect on their lives.…
643). This alteration to lyric’s definition is a major part of why lyric poetry is not commonly known or maybe even confused with being words to a song. Poetry, itself, has changed a lot since poets first began to write poetry and these changes do not exclude lyrical poetry. The textbook mentions that “ever since the invention of the printing press…poets have written less often for singers, more often for the readers.” (pg. 644) Interestingly enough, this changes, where poets write more for their readers, helped aid in its own downfall.…
