Why Do Companies Join The RCMI?

The Australian Quick Service Restaurant Industry’s (QSRI) was the second set of guidelines to be announced and were made in addition to the RCMI. The company must have appropriate marketing and advertisements for children. Signatories for this code include most of the leading fast food companies, for example McDonalds, KFC and Pizza Hut. The codes state what the maximum levels of sugar, salt, and fat in advertised meals should be. Both of these frameworks are meant to decrease marketing to children for food and drinks that aren’t healthy, promote healthy eating and show parents there is no reason to be concerned. Companies that join the RCMI or QSRI distribute separate “Company Action Plans” that show how they will obey the initiative’s main
