Why Do Chinese People Stand Up Wrong

In general, Chinese are not those kind of people who will be willing to stand up for something. There is a reason for it. In recent years, there are a few news that are making people start to feel afraid of helping people. Elderly people falling on the street and then blaming it on the people who helped them. The kind person who was trying to help is now forced to take the responsibility of him/her. They also have to make amends to that person’s injury because they are now blamed for it. Although they try to plead innocent, it is not going to work because nobody can explain for them. Also, aged people are a vulnerable group of people and they can easily get the public’s sympathy. People are more likely to believe what they say. It is less likely that Chinese people will stand up and helps when they see this happen in their community. This is understandable. Innocent people are being punished for not doing anything wrong, their story is now becomes an example to others. It is going to warn them not doing the same thing and get them in trouble. Is it the reason most of us stay out and not standing up for anything? Think about it, what if someone stood up for the boy who was accused of making aged people fall? Is the situation of our community going to change? If the people in Salem Town stood up when the girls accuse other people, were they able to save those innocent people's life? The answer is probably affirmative. The wrong things keep going wrong if it is not being stopped. One day, it is going to turn into a disaster and we all are going to be affected by it. Therefore, when we see it happens in our community, we should stand up and help those innocent people. If we don’t do anything about it, someday it is going to affect us, and nobody is willing to stand up for us at that time.
