In August 20, 1940 Trotsky was sitting at his desk studying Mexico, when Roman Mercader attacked him with a mountaineering ice ax, puncturing his skull. He was taken to the hospital but died a day later, at age 60. Leon Trotsky helped fight the Russian Revolution of 1917, and after he helped Leon built the Red Army. Leon symbolized Snowball in the book Animal Farm. Leon Trotsky escaped prison and was sent to a Siberia. Leon Trotsky helped fight the Russian Revolution and after he helped build the Red Army. He then died and was assassinated by the Soviets. After the Russian Revolution, Trotsky helped build the South Russian Workers Union. He was arrested and sent to Siberia for a four-year sentence and found the love of his life Alexander
