1. Explain the concept of density.
Density is how much matter is in the object, the atoms, and how they are arranged. It can tell others if anything sinks or not. Basically density is a measurement of atoms inside of them and how they are arranged.

2. a) Why couldn’t just the mass of a block be used to determine the identity of the block? Explain. Why couldn’t just the volume of a block be used to determine the identity of the block? Explain.
If people only had the mass of the block, we can’t really determine it because the experiment needed the density of the block. The experiment also couldn’t use the formula mass/volume to get density. Also the mass of the matter can be equal to anything you just need the right amount. Volume wasn’t an
