From the analyzing the data collected, CG’s primary function is escape. The escaping function ties into CG’s boredom associated with lectures and/or classroom discussions. The reason I believe that escape is CG’s behavioral function is due to the spikes in frequency when she is sitting through review sessions and/or uninteresting topics (in her opinion). Mornings in which she seemed tired resulted higher frequency rates. The urge to escape boredom was also done via other behavioral actions. The other behavior that I witnessed was CG’s completion of other assignments during the AP Biology hour.
