The US service academies were created to train and provide education for future officers of the US military. This motive serves to provide a foundation for my desire to attend a service academy and become a commissioned officer in the US Military. On this foundation, laid by my father, who has served 20 years as an officer in the US Army, three pillars were erected: discipline, athleticism, and resilience.
