Underwater welding was all just an idea from a college student that just graduated from Saint Petersburg State Electrotechnical University. A few years later he graduated he started working at the college. After a while he had gotten tired of the same old stuff and had decided to apply his skills to a new task. He thought that his new task would be most efficient being used and helping military vessels get repaired quicker in World War II. after 1932 he had successfully completed his first underwater welder in the lab he had decided that he would bring it to the Black Sea for more practice into finding out how he can supply the fuel underwater and how he can get the electrode to work on your water and reducing the risk of electrocution with and a special electrode coating to help reduce the risk of electrocution under water He thought it was time to start teaching the soldiers how to do it so they can fix the shift quicker than what it would be taking it out of the water and bringing it to a ship Warehouse to get it worked on which took a lot of time and a lot of money to do. Another one of the problems in the early stages of welding was it they did not have the correct helmet to perform underwater welding safely without burning eyes.
