Lady Macbeth assures Macbeth everything will be fine after he panics about his blood stained hands. “My hands are of your color, but I am shame To wear a heart so white” (Shakespeare II.II.82-82). Lady Macbeth is just as much to blame for the murder, but she does not show guilt like Macbeth. She wants to make him feel like they were equal parts in this crime. Her determination impacts Macbeth into following the prophecies and committing multiple murders in order to get the power. In the beginning, Lady Macbeth does not feel any remorse for killing the king, while Macbeth receives guilt through bloody hands and hallucinations.
