The book “Autumn Falls” was published in 2014 and is written by Bella Thorne. The protagonist, Autumn Falls, is shy and dyslexic 10th grader with bright red hair. She lives in a suburb just outside of Baltimore in a town called Stillwater. Autumn and her family of her brother, Erick, her mom and her dad plan to move to Florida to be closer to and keep an eye on her grandma, Eddy. She was put in assisted living after she had a stroke. Autumn's dad was driving home from the airport when he got into a fatal car crash. She was devastated. On her first day at Aventura High, she manages to meet 3 new friends named J.J., Jack, and Amalita, developed a crush on a guy named Sean which landed her on the wrong side of the most popular girl in school, Reenzie and her best friend, Taylor. Amalita and Taylor used to be best friends before Taylor ditched her to be Reenzie’s new best friend. Earlier that morning, her brother, Erick, crashed a remote control helicopter into Autumn; resulting in a big, red bump centered on her forehead. She discovered someone posted a picture of her with the red bump on her forehead to the school portal for all of the school to see. There was no way to prove who posted the picture, however, Autumn had her suspicions about Reenzie. She goes to visit Eddy who gives Autumn a journal and explains how her dad wanted her to have it.
