Gwen receives an invitation from her Grandpa to come live with him in New york so she can study music there. Gwen makes her way to the big city of New york. Gwen has been in New york for about two years now. She has been studying and practicing her violin. She wants to do well on her tryouts; All day she studies and practices without any breaks. His name is Uncle Hanc. Gwen does not like uncle Hanc because everytime he is over he yells at her grandpa about selling the house. He wants him to sell it because he is a joint owner, and claims they can make millions on the house. Grandpa refuses every time. After the last visit of uncle Hanc, grandpa left and was nowhere to be found.
He left Gwen a message telling her he has to leave for a while, and to avoid uncle Hanc. Grandpa did not tell her where he was. Gwen was worried, and she had no idea what to do. “In this city of 10 million people, I’m alone” (Pg. 10).
This book is very interesting thus far. I am looking forward to reading the rest of the book to find out where the grandpa went. I think he has a second house that no one knows about. I also think Gwen is going to track him down, and find him.
