It’s just a few days before we depart. I have all sorts of different emotions about our leave from Independence,MO. I am nervous, excited, weary, but most of all thankful. I just want my children to be given the best life they could possibly have and moving us to the west, I think this will give them that. Especially the child that I am pregnant with right now. Many do not know that I am expecting, but my past pregnancies have been healthy and successful so I have confidence in this one. My mom is coming along with us so she will keep a watch on me. Our wagon train master is known to the best around. He has gone 6 times now and has successfully lead his group to Oregon every time. I have been communicating with him almost everyday leading up to this trip just to make sure that everything goes as planned. I think this is just my anxiety acting up, but he has made me feel much better. There are over 500 wagons leaving on this trip. It should take us around 5 months to get where we are heading, with us doing 15 miles a day. I will try to do as much walking as I can everyday, but not quite sure how long that will last. It will be very healthy for my baby and I though. Leading up to the trip I have just been doing needle work and sewing new clothes for everyone in the family. It has been pretty difficult making clothes for my daughter, my son, my husband, me and a few just incase the baby comes early. I am not due till after we make it to Oregon, but you never know what could happen. We will need warm clothes for the winter months, but hopefully we will not be in those for to long. Well it’s about time for dinner, I’ll catch up with you in few days! Remember live more and worry less… May 1846 We have now been on the trail for a month. So far everything has gone well. We have had great weather and it has been an easy walk because it is all flat land. A few nights ago we did have a little scare. We were all getting ready to go to bed and had our wagons in a giant circle to keep our families safe from the animals, when all of a sudden a coyote jumped in it. Thankful nobody was injured and a father from another family killed it. It was not expected at all, but I am glad everybody is okay. I am about 4 months pregnant now and it is starting to show a bit. Every morning I have been throwing up and have not felt good throughout the day. As more days pass on the more I have been noticing gravestones of children that have been born along the way and have gotten to sick to even stay alive for a few days. It’s starting to make me worry for the fear that my baby will come early. My other two children were perfectly healthy and I pray that this one will be as well. July 1846 It is now the middle of the summer and we are all getting …show more content…
Everybody seems to be as happy as can be and loving it here. Little Eevee is now almost 2 months old and the most cheerful baby I know. She is our miracle child, and I will forever be thankful that she is still her with us today. Luke started up a new family business for us and it has gone so far. He started selling different types of jerky and has fur trading post set up all around. He has pushed our family and brought us to many great things by taking our family to Oregon. He is the best husband I could possible have. Penelope LOVES it here and had made forever friends from those families that traveled all the miles here as well. I am so proud of who she is becoming and how much she has stepped up her responsibilities. George loves his little sister and is a great big brother. I swear that kid is getting more ornery every day. It must be those terrible twos! I on the other hand am very grateful for the family I have and the plan that god had made for

King Arthur and Spiderman are two fictitious characters that are both similar, and dissimilar to each other. In an excerpt from Joseph Campbell’s The Hero with a Thousand Faces, he writes about monomyth, which is a twelve step process that is divided into four sections. This represents a continuous cycle that the character in the story must go through in order to complete their journey. King Arthur and Spiderman follow the cycle of the Heroes Journey by events in their lives made parallel to the cycle of the Heroes Journey. King Arthur and Spiderman, although from two different ends of the spectrum, are actually alike, both coming from epic tales of struggles and triumph.…

Sitting at my desk, I stared down at my schoolwork while my mind remained static. Suddenly, I found myself beginning to radiate golden light as my body faded from existence; then before I knew it, I rematerialized out of thin air. This does not happen often, so I was rather confused as I stood atop a cloud, high up in the sky. That is, until I noticed a large, human-like figure appear before me in a holy light. He raised his hands and smiled down at me before bellowing out, “Behold, for it is I; Gabe Newell!”…
