Finally, you remember the scroll? The Lion from the tribe of Judah who was found worthy to open it is none other than Jesus Christ. Chapter six of Revelation represents the breaking of the seals. This scroll contains seven. As the seals are broken, God’s judgments are unleashed on the earth. Isaiah describes the earth as reeling back and forth like a drunkard (Isaiah 24:20). This is a great time of transition when Satan’s kingdoms will come to an end. Ezekiel 21:24-28 typifies the Antichrist exposed in all of his wickedness before the Lord. Notice what the text says, “Therefore, thus says the Lord GOD, ‘Because you have made your iniquity to be remembered, in that your transgressions are uncovered, so that in all your deeds your sins appear—because you …show more content…
He will at this time pour out his full fury on Israel. But he’s not God, he’s not King nor Prince. As Trump likes to say, HE’S A FAKER. Oh what a great irony it will be when the Son of the Lie, the Antichrist, falls into the very pit his adopted father, Satan, sets for him. As the embodiment of falsehood falls for that which is false, earth’s rightful Heir and King, Jesus Christ, will take possession of that which is rightfully His. At that time, the glory of the true Prince, the Lord Jesus Christ; the Son of David, will finally be fully manifest when He takes His reign on the earth. He will establish His throne in Jerusalem and rule from there for 1000 years. The earth will be restored by Christ, and humanity will finally live in peace. The utopian dream of the world will not be established by the world. It will only be realized when its rightful King claims that place of honor already secured by Him. “Then the seventh angel sounded; and there were loud voices in heaven, saying, "The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ; and He will reign forever and ever.” (Revelation

As stated earlier, E.M Cook was one of the scholars that contributed to the “son of God” debate and argued that the “son” was a negative figure. Cook offered the most comprehensive defense to the negative interpretation in his article, “4Q246”. Cook states “the Akkadian prophecies provide the most convincing background for 4Q246” and he argues for a direct relationship with these scrolls . The Akkadian prophecies introduced by Cook are a compilation of five works that date from the twelfth-century B.C.E to the Seleucid period . In Cooks article, he highlights twelve traits that Aramaic and Akkadian texts exhibit in common; however, on further examination, Collins reveal that they are not as impressive as they initially seem .…

Conversely, Ezekiel’s message is instructing the elite of Judah, now in exile, that the concept of the Jerusalem ideology is still intact. He rationalizes that the Judite leadership is ultimately to blame, but that does not include the future generations of Judites (Ezek. 18:14-19). He is using this concept as a motivator for them to change, stating that there will be a future remnant. He later issued calls for the wicked of Israel to turn back (Ezek. 33:10-11), and explains that even the wicked will be spared (Ezek. 30:14-15) if they restore their pledge to…

Zombies, nuclear explosions, black holes. There are many theories on how the world will end. As Christians, we have the opportunity to look at prophecy in the Bible to have an idea of what the end will be like. However, the Bible can be confusing or unclear, allowing for multiple interpretations. Considering the end of time, we will look at four different views on what the millennium is and where it is placed on the timeline.…

When interpreting the Bible, it is good to use it as a whole, not to take chunks out of it and use what you think should be used and then leave out the things you don’t think is important. It is good to understand the purpose and audience of the Bible along with taking in consideration on when it was written. It is good to remember that the Bible means what it means, and not what we think it means. A good method of interpreting the Bible is by using the Duvall and Hays Interpretive Journey, which is from Grasping God’s Word. In Duvall and Hay’s Interpretation they use four different Journey’s, and in which I will be using all four of those when trying to interpret the passage I have chosen from the book of Revelation.…

Ezekiel chapter 34 is such a powerful message to all of us today. Biblically, leaders are referred to as shepherds, and their flocks of sheep are the people they rule over. In Ezekiel, God calls out His leaders for not taking care of the people. The shepherds have neglected to do what they were instructed to do, and God is quite upset with them. Just like this story, leaders today are called to be faithful to God, by ensuring the safety and well-being of their people.…

Apocalyptic literature reveals God’s secrets, it refers to the notion that God created history and will bring it to an end. Furthermore, an apocalypse is the idea that the world consists of both evil and righteous people and at some point God will destroy the evil people and send people to heaven or hell. To begin with, this apocalyptic literature is present throughout Daniel, as “until the time of the end” is mentioned repeatedly which refers to a time when history will come to an end. In addition, apocalyptic literature addresses the problem of theodicy (which refers to the problem of evil) through resurrection and the afterlife. The idea is the resurrection of the just will be rewards while the unjust will be punished.…

Illustration from the 7 Jewish Feasts Jesus is the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and Ending, the First and the Last. God knows the end from the beginning, He alone traverses time (both past and future) into eternity. God cannot be boxed into time (like humans), He is greater than time – He has no beginning of days or the end of life, He is from everlasting to everlasting. He alone knows the exact day when the kingdoms of this world would end and a new heaven and earth will take their place. About four thousand years ago, God instituted seven feasts or festivals for the Jewish nation.…

No one knows the day nor the hour in which the Lord Jesus Christ will return to the earth in the days of judgment, sounds like something you would hear in the trailer of an apocalyptic thriller. Well in fact the book of Revelation which is the last book in the Bible speaks of an apocalyptic prophecy; the book is written by the Apostle John who is imprisoned on the island of Patmos. John, an elderly man, receives a vision of this revelation from an angel and was instructed to write what he had seen. The book encourages Christians to prepare for the return of the savior Jesus Christ and warns non-believers of the trials and tribulations they will face when these final days arise. Almost all of the books in the Bible speak of stories that are…
