There are many things happening with this scene with Captain Martin Walker when he finally confronts his arch nemesis, John Konrad. The main thing being is that Walker is Konrad, mentally. The game is conclusive on what happened, revealing that Walker is traumatized by his actions as a soldier, most notably when he caused the death of 47 innocent civilians.
